A Little About Dr. Plaisance
Dr. Katie Plaisance is a Georgia native who grew up in Woodstock, Georgia. She attended the University of Georgia, where she received her Bachelor of Science in Microbiology with a minor in Nutrition Science. After college, she attended the Dental College of Georgia in Augusta, where she received her Doctorate of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Plaisance completed additional training at the Dental College of Georgia through its General Practice Residency Program. During her residency, she received advanced multidisciplinary training in surgical techniques for implant placement, bone grafting, surgical dental extractions, IV sedation, and endodontics. Her areas of expertise include general restorative dentistry, surgical extractions, dental implant placement, and implant restorations.
Improving a patient’s health and confidence through dental care is one of her favorite parts of being a dentist. She strongly believes that excelling in dentistry requires more than strong clinical skills; a dentist must also be respectful, trustworthy, and understanding.
